Why do you want my email address and telephone number?

We ask for these details so we can keep you up to date with the status of your order and to contact you in case there's a problem with your order or delivery. If your order has some 'made to order items' we will need to contact you to see whether you would rather we went the order in batches or keep it all together.

We’d like to keep you up-to-date with news and offers in the form of marketing emails, but we ask you to 'opt in' to receive these. So unless you specifically tell us you'd like to receive or marketing, you won't. Simple as that!

We do not make your postal address, email addresses or telephone numbers available to other companies ever.

How do you keep my information safe?

All Queens and Bowl online purchases take place on the highly secure RBS Worldpay server using the latest security technology to protect our customers.
Your credit/debit card information is encrypted to ensure your transactions are private and protected as they travel over the Internet. This encryption makes it virtually impossible for unauthorised parties to read any information that you send.
We accept orders only from web browsers that permit communication through Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology - this means you cannot inadvertently place an order through an unsecured connection. Most web browsers above version three support this security.

As well as personal data, what other information do you keep?

To help us give you the best service, we also keep records of:

- Your purchases with us. This means we can quickly deal with any problems you may experience with your order. If you have opted into our marketing, it also lets us send you the most relevant offers.
- Any email correspondence you send us. This helps us keep track any problems or concerns you've had with our products.

Why do you use Cookies?

Cookies are small text files that websites can send to your computer. Cookies cannot be used to disseminate viruses, or get a user's email address etc. Neither can they access any information on your hard drive. Cookies are used widely amongst internet retailers large and small, without them, it would be very difficult for visitors to fill their shopping bag or for our site to recognise your registration details for a future visit. To move throughout the site, you would have to log in repeatedly - not very user-friendly!

Our website (in common with most other shopping web sites) will not work without cookies.

The European Union Directive on Privacy and Electronic Communications (the "Directive"), which came into force on 31st July 2002, recognises that cookies are a "legitimate and useful tool for many activities", including verifying the identity of website users. You can find more information on this subject at www.aboutcookies.org. We are obliged to inform you that you can set your computers to reject cookies. You will find the instructions on how to do this at www.aboutcookies.org.
